Data Log 54.5.09
Plans have proceeded smoothly thus far. For the most part, anyway. In my absence, General Wisper attempted capture of Solomon Septimone's daughter, but failed miserably. Pathetically. But in reality, it was my miscalculation for making the day that I leave without notice the one day such a vital target presented herself to my reach. From this point forward, Class B cases will be handled only by myself or the Sigma. It took over a decade to eliminate Solomon; I don't intend to wait another.
Data Log 54.5.10
The time of year rolls around once more. Commander Bryce will have us enter the bowels of Fayelin Mountains to excavate for more lucrian, a unique ore we use for our materials, weapons, armor, etc. In the harsh, frigid climate of the mountaintops, there are those who question whether or not Commander Bryce is sending them to their deaths, despite me leading. They are met with a crossbow, and they are shot. New recruits or no, a Beata soldier must trust their superiors.
The Sigma and I accompanied a group of soldiers down the the hidden alcove where our precious ore manifests itself. No other in the world has found this place, leaving the benefits our and ours alone. Running low on supplies, we took a risky maneuver and blasted a large cracked wall... to great surprise. It revealed to us the hollow interior of the mountain, resembling a structure similar to that of Teale, the City of Tomorrow. It held more lucrian that we ever thought possible! "Finally", I thought... "we can continue construction with our weapon ". The pride of the Beata that will be the holy light which leads this world to liberation, the Silver Valet... How I long to restart its construction. In order to gain enough ore, we must send our soldiers inside in great numbers at a time into the dark and cold depths. Sigma Leonis was the first to leap into the new cavern, but to our dissatisfaction, some soldiers refused or were too spineless to enter. They too were shot. A Beata soldier must be fearless.
There was a pristine feel to the inner chambers of Mt. Fayelin that made me feel awkwardly at ease and yet restless at the same time. These emotions made Facade, too, jitter and Fayelin anxious as well. A serenity stone... of course! There would be one in this frozen wasteland. Scouring quickly and tracing it's scent, I found the beautiful stone and held it in my hands. It's been so very long since I felt the chilling ease of a serenity stone that warmed my heart... Serenity is a befitting name. This unique isolation, it wraps like ribbons in my hands, like a lost soul. In the past, there has been instances where holding the pure essence of an element has caused damage to myself and to others when I hold onto them for an extended period. These feelings of isolation are early signs of such damage. Seeing me carrying the light, a few soldiers came to my side, concerned that the energy being emitted would cause more ruin. As I stood, quietly holding my sphere, they suggested that I put it away. Some went to far as to touch my hand holding the stone.
They, too, were shot. A soldier must never question me.

It's been thirteen years, I believe. Thirteen years ago, Commander Bryce saved my life and prevented me from corruption of the mind and heart. He saved me from walking the path toward preserving this world, and despite his somewhat increasingly spiteful attitude, I will forever be thankful. With the death of Solomon, and the encounter with his daughter, the wheels of righteous distortion have finally begun to turn. Soon, the other deviants and myself-- ...What? ... ... Right now? Grr... You can't honestly be... ... acknowledged. Yes, dismissed Astra!
*sigh*... It seems Commander Bryce thought it humorous to summon me during data encryption. I'll continue this voice log momentarily. ...

Advancing upward toward the Commander's throne, the knight in black, tinted with traces of navy blue, marched up the winding stairs upward. The castle, black and ebony in all of it's glory, stood strong in stone and metal, maintaining a deep and dark feeling as he marched upward with the sounds of clamoring soldiers echoing from the lower floors. Upon opening the large, chain-ridden doors, he was greeted to Commander Bryce before him on the throne. His armor bore a lustrous night black with traces of white, his helmet covering all but his mouth. General Wisper stood to Seth's left, and Sigma Commander Leonis to his right.
"Commander and Deviant Seth Alcacite," the man on the risen throne spoke. "have you finally begun to exhaust your use to us? Your absence the other day forced me to send General Wisper in your place to capture the daughter of Solomon."
"Pardon... I didn't expect that my personal agenda would hinder us just that single day." Seth responded. "I acknowledge that saying that I expected Wisper to succeed isn't excuse enough."
"Tsk... how unfortunate. A task such as killing a little girl should be nothing compared to the decade of ridiculous hunting we did for her father. But know this: Unless you're returning to this base with a serenity stone or that girl's hair enlaced in your hands, your personal wants are nothing more than a waste of our time." Bryce stated.
"Commander!" said Wisper. "Even though he's got an obvious attitude problem, surely you can't mean to say such things to the deviant of water..."
"Had you succeeded in offing the girl's head, then I might be listening to you." snapped the Commander.
"...Sir." Wisper weakly responded.
"If you'll let me cut in," requested Leonis, his lance in hand. "I concur that Seth is a valuable commander and asset to the Beata ranks. You're not one to push away a soldier who's as valuable to us as they are to you; it's just illogical. Now, if I didn't know better, I'd say that this is your own method for pushing our own soldiers along to their maximum potential? It seems that not even a deviant of nature is safe from your musings."
"You know me a touch too well. But don't assume that whatever little hypothesis you concoct are always the case, Leonis. I detest it when you end up consistently acting that way." Bryce gestured as Wisper crossed his arms in discontent. "...Listen. I've not lost faith in any one of you. Believe me, this delicious feeling of victory being so close is mesmerizing... The vision that any and all ties to the Septimone family, the vision of that girl, Karla, being eliminated is so close to mind, it leaves me... trembling with anticipation. While I don't want you to push yourselves beyond your limits, I do advise you to pick yourselves up sometime soon. Especially you General Wisper, lest you want to fall to the generic ranks of the front lines."
"Ah... duly noted, sir. In fact, I'm going to go ready the troops to search every station that the Bayden train visits! They'll no doubt get off somewhere along the way. If you'll excuse me..." he said, making his exit. Upon passing Seth, he looked into Wisper's eyes with a snide glare, intimidation boiling high. "What are you looking at? Something on my face or what?"
"I'll take the blame for your blunder this time. I couldn't have expected you to carry out this simple of a task, so it looks like this outcome was determined the moment the Commander sent you out." Seth scoffed.
"Yeah, yeah... uh, *ahem*. The girl is all yours...". At Joseph Wisper's exit, Bryce let out a sort of sigh of relief as he called the attention of Seth and Leonis.
"Well! That saves me the effort to pry him out of our sight myself. Now, listen well," Bryce started as he got to his feet and off the throne. "Apparently, this escaped Wisper's deteriorating attention span, so I'll fill you in on a few extra details gathered by our stealth operatives. The daughter of Solomon was traveling with a young man, about your age, Seth."
"...So?" he grumbled, waiting for him to continue.
"You might not care about one measly little bodyguard, but you might like to know that this boy was carrying a crimson hilt latched on his belt." Bryce stated.
"A crimson..." began Seth, before pausing and slightly widening his eyes.
"Hah, so that's what you look like when you're surprised? How very amusing, I haven't seen that look in so long, I'd nearly forgotten. And yes, this hilt bore a design that they deemed very akin to your own. I trust you know what this means."
"What?" blurted out Leonis. "Are you certain?"
"I didn't create an organization that trains poor soldiers. I trust their words."
"Did he use the said item?" asked Seth, who suddenly became intrigued.
"No. It merely stood there for the duration of the ordeal. But he did have a sword of steel as a substitute. A couple soldiers reported him using an attack nearly identical to one of Solomon's." he added. "Oh yes, maroon hair, maroon eyes, even his shirt looked a little burned... and he had quite an airhead personality. I don't think there's any doubt, General Alcacite.". Seth merely stood in silence, cross-armed and looking toward the floor. "There was also an encounter with the windy deviant, which is further proof that there are even more deviants among us."
"Yes... he only appears whenever a deviant is near or involved." added Leonis.
"...Anything else?" asked Seth anxiously.
"No. We'll update shortly however. We need to encounter the pair first, which Wisper will do..."
"In that case, I'm going to move my troops."
"Oh?" pondered Leonis and Bryce. "Why bother?"
"Wisper thinks they're get off at any old stop. We're been told they're riding on top of the train, not inside it. The point of their position is to not be noticed, so exiting the train at a stop is useless if they can expect to find our soldiers there." he said, making his way toward the chain-ridden door. "We're talking about the daughter of Solomon Septimone. I sincerely doubt that she's stupid enough to casually leave at any old train station... by the time the train finishes crossing the sea, there's a small opportunity for them to leap into the Laran River. Therefore, I'm going to send troops around the Rudanios plains extending to the next city that the train is bound for, as well as the small patch of land in between Bayden's train tunnel and the sea's bridge. " Looking back at the two while holding the door open, he let out a sigh. "That should cover every possible location. And if not, we'll have to trust Wisper. I hope it doesn't come down to that."
"Impressive, Seth..." commented Leonis at his exit. "But be aware and careful not to mix with the affairs of the Neroa and Rudanios countries as they continue to war."
"Those idiotic humans are either going to wipe whatever's left of each other out soon, or finally quit. The northern continent of Neora as nearly exhausted their troops and Seloria has been inactive for months. This stupid war is going to end soon enough." Seth commented as he closed the door behind him.
"Heh... with this sort of occurrence, it's only a matter of time until the final deviants appear before us." thought the Commander of the organization. "The deviant of the gales is a nuisance, traveling from place to place, but he'll have to come out of hiding again eventually. He, too, will have to pay for intruding on our plan against Delphi... let us hope this opens the doors to the paths we seek." said Bryce. "Dismissed, Leonis."
"Yes sir..." he echoed in the chamber. By the time Leonis left the room, Seth was already back in his own, preparing the data encryptor. ...

It seems that our long walk has begun to pick up pace. Railyr Tefere, I know not how you managed to avoid us for such a long time, but now you're finally in my field of vision. It's been so long since I've spoken your name, but I've held it as close as my blade. What an ominous feeling... to think that it could really be you, of all people. Though I suppose it makes sense, seeing that you're accompanying the likes of the Septimones. Solomon, too, never stood in one place for long. Perhaps guarding Diana eventually proved too difficult for the old man. Ah well... as long as they're both out of my sight, we no longer have as much to burden us. The dark cloud looming our head and causing concern is that we'll not be able to eliminate Karla or Railyr the same way we did Solomon.
Well then, I'm off to seek a new solution. Ah, to think it took thirteen years to find you, Railyr, and the accursed daughter at the same time... it must be my lucky day.
